Lymphie Girl

By Amy Brock

“Inspired by secondary lymphedema, from breast cancer, this abstract portrait uses broken lines and disproportionate body shapes to highlight the affects of edema. Multiple colors and intentional line subtleties create less of a reality, but more about the representation of swelling and the way swelling affects the body. Lymphie girl uses oil, acrylic, sand, and other mediums to create an altered body.”
