It’s been a long while since I’ve written a post myself, but today the Breast Cancer Art Project celebrates its 3rd birthday! I’m still humbled and honoured to continue this project, which only exists because of all the amazing women, and men too, who contribute by sending in their creations. Every piece is special, because it comes from something real, from both the most painful of places, to those of hope and of love. Our core value is inclusivity, so we have the most incredible variety of artworks, from beginners to professionals, sitting side by side, all united through our experience of breast cancer.
To mark our birthday, I’ve put together a short video compilation of some of the artworks submitted in our first three years. I’ve tried to include one artwork from every contributor (but please forgive me if I’ve missed anyone off!). I hope you love the video as much as I do. And please do share it far and wide, so we can reach more people affected by breast cancer…. men as well as women, and those affected through their loved ones as well.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed and to everyone who supports us! And wishing all of our creative community peace, love and good health.
