“The daffodils represent hope and the coming of springtime, blooming through the tangled mess of breast cancer. I took this in our garden at the outbreak of the coronavirus when we had entered social isolation. This chaotic situation has brought so many feelings that I experienced during my cancer treatment to the surface once again. Fear, confusion and hope. I have felt an overwhelming sadness for the fragility of us all but somehow this picture shows that life can still flourish even when surrounded by difficulties. Personally, I have found it difficult to express my feelings at the moment but this picture has really helped. We all need hope.”
