It’s not a journey, it’s a process (collection of journal sketches)

by Kelly Johnston

“These are drawings taken from my diary/journal during treatment. One thing that immediately annoyed me was being told it was a journey. No, a journey implies you are going somewhere nice. This is a process, an endurance. When I was confronted by good intentioned ignorance I vented here. I wrote and sketched my thoughts, worries and frustrations over the course of treatment and am still doing so (although not so much) during my adjustment to my “new normal”.”

  2. These journal sketches and entries are very powerful
I identified with a lot of your thoughts
I remember saying through tears to my husband shortly after diagnosis “ this will not define who I am “ ( March 2018)
